Plants on the ground (Ærø) | | Kalvebod Environment Centre Photovoltaic panels on the roof or on the ground. The preliminary project is based on the applicant’s wish for two scenarios: 1. A photovoltaic solution which covers the administration block’s consumption of electricity 2. A photovoltaic solution which covers the consumption of electricity of the entire Environment Centre.
The administration block’s consumption of electricity may be covered by a system which utilizes the entire roof of the building, either in the shape of 180 sq m crystalline photovoltaics with a performance of 14,000 kWh per year, or as a combination of thin film and polycrystalline photovoltaics with a total performance of 13,300 kh.
The costs of these systems (materials and wages) will be in the region of DKK 750,000 and DKK 950,000, with annual savings of about DKK 21,000 (The reduction in CO2 is 13.7 tons per year).
The consumption of electricity of the entire Environment Centre may be covered by 740 sq m photovoltaics mounted on racks which are placed on the ground. This system will have a performance of 80,000 kWh per year. The costs of this system will amount to DKK 3,700,000, with annual savings of about DKK 120,000 (CO2 reduction: 76.4 tons per year). If the project is carried out, it will be the largest photovoltaic system in the country.
Materials and wages are included in the price, consultancy fees are not included. All costs are exclusive of VAT. The estimate has been made in the fourth quarter of 2006. |
